Profile - Mara Musso

My yoga journey started in the mid-80s in Italy. When I came to Britain, in the late 80s, I started attending yoga classes again with some inspiring BWY teachers.  I must thank Richard Adamo for providing the inspiration to train as a yoga teacher.

It was Godfrey Devereux who introduced me to Dynamic Yoga in the early 90s, which, in time, led me to Astanga Vinyasa Yoga. I was a student of John Scott for 10 years, in London first and later in Penzance. I feel very privileged to have met Pattabhi Jois on a few occasions in London and also on a month intensive in Mysore in 2004.

As my yoga practice and teaching continue to evolve, in the last few years I have found my inspiration in Julie Martin from Brahmani Yoga. I try to attend Julie’s workshops and intensives whenever possible.
